Position Summary:
A full service marketing and
design firm is looking for a talented graphic/web designer to lead design
efforts. The candidate will be required to work on a variety of tasks
including graphic design & basic website development; creating layouts for
brochures, ads (web & print); designing/coding websites, employing various
online marketing programs, email campaigns, banner ads and updating clients’
websites.
The ideal candidate will have 2
to 5 years of web graphic experience with strong web design/development skills.
They will report to project managers, but will work with other designers
throughout the company who will depend on them for consistently accurate
finished products.
The specific responsibilities
of this position include but are not limited to:
- Create and enhance site design, layout, content and navigation to provide a highly relevant and usable site experience
- Knowledge of HTML code, CSS, JavaScript
- Ability to create user and mobile-friendly, optimized websites while using W3C compliant code and CSS
- Familiarity with Content Management Systems such as WordPress, Joomla, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Experience and understanding of HTML production, web graphic formats and design software including Dreamweaver required
- Proven design ability and basic knowledge of all aspects of print and electronic graphics, typography, color theory, photography and production
- Utilize graphic design techniques for creating brochures, flyers, stationery, PowerPoint presentations, advertising and other marketing materials
Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum 2 years of professional graphic/website design experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Graphic design experience required: Portfolio of previous work preferred
- Experience utilizing ADOBE Creative Suite 3, MS Office, Outlook
- Strong desire for quality work
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
