We like to help out charitable organizations when we can. So when SAVE (School Advocates for Vision & Education) contacted us about taking photos at their event, Paradigm was more than happy to jump on board.
SAVE is a nonprofit organization that treats vision related disorders by providing vision screenings, comprehensive eye exams, glasses, and other related needs to Memphis and Shelby County children. The people behind this org. are doing such a great thing by offering these kids diagnosis and treatment for vision problems. So many people can and have gotten their vision needs taken care of, but it seems like we don’t hear about the issue of vision related disability quite as often as other medical issues. It’s sad to think of a child (or anyone) suffering from poor vision and not even knowing about the help that’s out there…or simply not knowing their vision isn’t as good as it should be.
SAVE takes their mobile buses and travels around to host “eye events.” Paradigm took photos at the event on August 4th with Rachel’s Kids (another nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life for kids in inner city Memphis). We learned from their post on Facebook that this event helped 16 kids! Here’s a couple of photos of the bus:

Be sure to check out SAVE on Facebook - you’ll see more photos from this event and others.
Oh, and since we’re on the topic, the Commercial Appeal featured a good article about FedEx’s (very generous) donation to help vision disorders as well. It’s nice to think that Memphis is this company's home.
Enjoy the week!
