It’s springtime…which means de-cluttering and sprucing up. Maybe it’s time to do the same for your brand. Here are some simple yes or no questions for your company, business, non-profit, or really any field of service to answer in order to re-evaluate your “story.”
- Does your organization's message contain the three C's?
Step out of the box and ask yourself (or other non-biased people) if what you're telling is clear, concise and consistent.
- Do you know your audience(s)?
Naturally, whatever field of work or specialization you're undertaking is going to target certain people and not others. So, while the messaging is clear, it also should be written for these audiences. Make sure you really know who this is.
- OK - your messaging contains the three C's, but are you positive it's portrayed that way?
While you're still outside the box, take a look at your website - would an outsider/possible client understand what it is you do...without having to jump through ropes?
- What about your collateral?
Any kind of print, web, sales, or social collateral is just more back-up for your identity...which means it should be consistent with the rest of what you've published or made live.
- Is your message or "story" also authentic?
Clients, consumers, and any potential customer need something to be hooked in, i.e. the crave for more information. They also look for authenticity, originality and what really makes you stand out from your competition.
Remember, your message is the entire backbone of your brand. These are just a few questions to consider. If you feel as if your company needs thorough evaluation and a "clean-up" strategy, we're here to help.
