2D versus 3D Floor Plans:

Traditional two-dimensional floor plans are useful tools…for the trained eye. A better alternative for use in marketing and fund raising is a 3D floor plan (or floor plate). These allow the viewer to see the interior spaces in perspective from above.

By adding the extra dimension, viewers more easily understand the volume, flow and relationship of the spaces. Furniture, textures and colors provide an additional level of information and realism.
